Jane Smith

Associate Professor of Human-Computer Interaction

Jane Smith is an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. Her research focuses on novel interaction paradigms for creative AI tools, embodied computing, and the social dimensions of collaborative technology.

She received her PhD from MIT CSAIL and was a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford HCI Group before joining CMU. Her work has been recognized with Best Paper Awards at CHI and UIST, and she has received funding from NSF, DARPA, and Google.
