FlowPath AR
An augmented reality wayfinding system for complex indoor environments that adapts routes based on real-time crowd density.
FlowPath AR overlays directional cues directly onto the physical environment using ARKit, routing pedestrians around congested areas in real time. Tested in CMU’s Gates Hillman Center, the system reduced average navigation time by 23% during peak hours.
The routing algorithm ingests occupancy data from existing building sensors and re-routes users with less than 200ms latency.
